Organic Waxed Canvas | Zero Waste Travel Cutlery Case
I’m very happy with my bamboo, reusable utensils. The case they’re stored in isn’t just utilitarian, it’s cool- looking ! I’ll never use plastic utensils again.
Wow! These are great! Very well made as are all etee products we have purchased so far. Can't wait to try them. Looking forward to the toothpaste tabs...hope these will be ready for purchase soon!
Convenient to use, to take with me, and really nice looking too :)
The fabric case is very strong and seems like it will hold up for a long time but the bamboo fork is very thin and the tip of one prong broke. I also think ETEE could make use of their beeswax and use it as finish on the bamboo. I have a beeswax oil for bamboo cutting boards and other wood that I used and it gave the utensils a nice smoother finish. I have another utensil set with chopsticks and added an 8” metal straw to it. Both of these are very useful additions if you can find a short enough straw. Overall good product but could use some improvements.
Sets were fine but not extraordinary. Canvas was faded and not really of a caliber that I would give as a gift. BUT I still love the idea and will keep them for my family. Something to also consider, adding chopsticks to the kit. Thanks
EAT OUT, DRINK OUT, BUT DON’T THROW OUT...
This handy - and cute - USDA certified organic waxed canvas pouch is your go-to when you want to eat out and stay zero waste. It comes with a set of organic bamboo cutlery, but that’s not all it can hold. Going to a music fest? Toss in a reusable straw, napkin and even your phone, ID and credit card. Eating out at work? No guilt, just gobble and go.
Plastic Free Club means Added Value | In our retail shop, we sell these for $29 USD each. Over here at the Plastic Free Club, we've dropped the price by over 40%! Need a straw to go with that pouch? Nay worries - we’ve got club pricing on our reusable glass straws too!
These are hand waxed in our Toronto shop, so you can trust that not only are our employees fairly treated, they're also known to bust out on the shop floor with a little MC HAMMER action - love those pants, love that dance.

Organic Waxed Canvas Case
We chose waxed canvas because it ages well, it's practical in that it repels stains (we're kinda messy) and it lasts a long time. We wanted to use organic cotton canvas (turns out organic isn't just for food, it helps our environment and reduces toxic exposure to the farmers that grow it) and we didn't want any petroleum in the wax (that means no paraffin). It was hard to find either, so we waxed it ourselves using organic beeswax, tree resin and a soy wax mixture. The liners are also organic cotton and all the dyes are GOTS certified (meaning they're non toxic, eco friendly etc. etc.)
Our cork twine (we got it in Portugal) was a fun find in that it's biodegradable, cool looking and fun to play with.
Organic Bamboo Cutlery
Our Bamboo cutlery is not only organic (again, we like organic because it reduces exposure to both farmers and fields), but it's also FDA certified and we went to great lengths to ensure that the oil we used to finish it is safe (there's some really nasty ones out there) and sustainable.
I have been using these for about a month though and find them practical and a nice way to make sure I always have a fork when I need one. The knife, understandably, is not very sharp, but on the whole this is helpful set to keep in my office or throw in my bag on the go. Plus, it is cute!
