Coconut Hair Mask
I've only used it once so maybe after a few other applications I can change the rating to a 5. I love the smell for sure. I have a few little grey hairs that stand at a attention and have bothered / annoyed me for quite a long while. I don't put any other products in my hair anymore (no gels, no sprays, nothing) so when those little grey soldiers laid flat after one use of this mask, I was happy. :-)
I like this a lot, but not enough to replace my favorite mainstream plastic-container hair mask.
So from a plastic-free view, it's a good substitute, but I think I'll keep buying my mainstream hair mask for now...
The coconut smell is VERY strong while in use and afterwards while the hair is damp, but the smell isn't too strong once the hair dries. (Though I should say: I don't mind coconut smell, but it's not my favorite, so keep that in mind.) But so far the scent has mixed really pleasantly with the hair styling products I use, like, my hair smells incredible with the combination of using the mask and then using my normal styling products, and vastly better than either the mask or the styling products smell when used by themselves, which surprised me.
The feel is nice and smooth while it's on, and it rinses clean easily, probably a bit easier than my favorite hair mask actually. But my hair isn't quite as "slippery smooth" after, though it does look healthy and moisturized after it dries. My hair tends to poofy waves, easily frizzes if dry or without product, and forms nice loose curls if moisturized enough. This hair mask gives me curls if I air dry after using and rinsing it, but my hair is a bit more likely to frizz if I exercise and sweat after this mask and no styling product, compared to my fave hair mask.
So yeah, it's a really good option, and if I ever go full plastic-free I'd switch to it, but for now, I'm gonna go back to my regular hair mask after this runs out, but I'll totally use the rest of this jar. Oh also, it's a good size, fits easily in the corner of the shower which is where I've been keeping it. Since it's glass, I wouldn't keep it along the tub rim where I normally perch my regular hair mask, I think I'd bump it off and shatter it eventually. I think the jar might last a bit longer than my regular hair mask; this mask is a bit thicker and the container is slightly bigger than my usual.
The texture is nice and my hair are soft after only a few uses. Nice product, will by again.
I have thick dry unruly frizzy tangly hair. This treatment was amazing. Will be ordering again once this is done!
