What Do You Use to Wash Your Face?

92% of women use facial cleansers on a daily basis, and the overwhelming majority come packaged in plastic.

Yikes!

We'd love to change that, but we need your help!

So tell us, what's your daily cleansing routine? And what would it take for you to try something new?

Let us know - comment below - together we can turn this plastic tide around!

  • I use a face bar soap from Lush that has calamine in it so its calming, but I only use it once/week. After the soap I use a rose oil/witch hazel water based toner (plastic bottle), and I end with Kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate just before bed (glass bottle, plastic dispenser pump).

  • I just use homemade bar soap and a washcloth if my face is actually dirty, or just water if I just want to freshen up. I have made it a goal to stop my single-use plastic purchases. Not perfect yet, but getting there.

  • SO TELL US, WHAT’S YOUR DAILY CLEANSING ROUTINE? Morning- wash my face with wash cloth a little soap and water. Same before bed. I don’t know of any cosmetic line that sells products without a plastic package. My soap is refillable and comes in a plastic bottle. AND WHAT WOULD IT TAKE FOR YOU TO TRY SOMETHING NEW? Not much, as I am always looking for new ways to improve our environment.

  • My cleanser and toner both come in glass bottles with plastic lids. My moisturizer comes in a plastic pot with a plastic lid. I use reusable organic cotton pads. My sunscreen comes in a plastic ‘tube’ container. I just love that my cleanser and toner are in glass but disappointed I can’t find more products going back to glass and metal lids. We did have a world before plastic…

  • I switch between olive oil that I pour into a reusable plastic bottle during the winter if the weather is really dry, and Cetaphil, which also comes in plastic :( . I tried using a bar of soap, but it was too drying for my skin.
