'Loofie' - Scouring Sponge Multi-Packs
they are okay but I prefered the coconut fiber scrubbies for cleaning and scrubbing tough stains on pots and pans
Take some getting used to. They don’t hold water like sponges and with an eco soap they don’t suds up like you may be expecting.
But once you get past that, they are great. Put soap on the loofa side and it works on stubborn stuck on food. The other side works well for dishes and counter cleaning.
Also, you don’t have to confine your loofie to the kitchen. I have one in my shower, instead of a washcloth or plain loofa. Much better. Not too harsh on my sensitive skin.
When I’m done with them for dishes or body care, I put a mark on them and use to clean my bathtub or sink.
Definitely will keep getting these.
They are so awesome! Really efficient at cleaning dishes, as well as for body care. I've already recommended this to all of my eco-friendly friends!
I love these thank you for your brilliant products
It's not bad but not great. It's kind of an average sponge. What makes it better of course is that it's eco-friendly. They're fine, but I would still be open to trying other things.
"The scrubby works great, and cleaned some caked on stuff on our cooking 'plaque' (not sure if that's an English word or not lol)...." - Jessica P
YOUR SCRUBBIE | OUR PLANET
Ditch that plastic yellow & green scrub & sponge at last! Our plastic-free Loofie Scrubber (affectionately known as 'Loofie') is a combination of the gentle scrubbing power of the fibrous loofah plant and the quick drying, ultra absorbent cellulose-cotton cloth. They're even sewn together using cotton thread (rather than the all too commonly used polyester thread) which makes for reusable & biodegradable dish cleaning with absolutely no plastic and no petroleum.
Plastic Free Club means Added Value | In our retail shop, we'd sell the Loofie for $5 US a piece. Over here at the Plastic Free Club, we've bundled them and dropped the price by up to 30%. Keep your family stocked or partner up with a friend and start saving our planet and your pocket book!
USE & CARE
Use your new etee Loofie in the same way you'd use your old green & blue plastic sponge (but without the plastic!). The loofah side is an amazing scrubber - but it won't scratch your dishes! The cellulose side is good for wiping up messy dishes and cleaning more delicate dishes. Loofies can do more than clean dishes - try using one to help scrub the sink & tub, just like your old plastic sponge would!
To keep your Loofie Scrubber clean you can chuck a damp one into the microwave for 10 seconds, or lay it onto the top rack of your dishwasher for a cycle. Washing machines or clothes dryers are not recommended.
Change your Loofie every 3 to 5 weeks, depending on usage. When you're done with it, since it's fully biodegradable, you can chuck it in the garbage, compost or bury it the garden. Loofie will decompose within a month :).
Loofie Scrubbers have a layer of loofah plant paired with a layer of Swedish cloth, which are 100% natural and made of wood & cotton cellulose.
"I love how it's made of 100% natural materials for something we use on a daily basis and something closest to our mouth. I was always grossed out by thinking the bits and pieces of the sponge coming into my body, and you know the stuff is known for the home of thousands of germs. The 'loofah' side is great to scrape off food etc from the dishes, forks and knives without scratching them." Ikuko N
