  • I’m a high risk person, so I haven’t entered a store since mid March. This has made it impossible to be plastic-free. The biggest issue is not being able to use my reusable bags, and alllll the bags they use with Walmart grocery pickup. Sometimes there will be just 1 small item per bag!! I’m saving them all to recycle when I’m able, but man, what a waste!

  • I would say the biggest challenge I have had is delivery of products. With all organizations working with skeleton staff, shipping timelines get extended by weeks sometimes. Patience is certainly the virtue and we all need to adapt to this new way of living.

  • All of the plastic bags from grocery stores, and not being able to use my reusable bags.

  • We are in NYC and took the quarantine very seriously. We do our grocery shopping via Fresh Direct, which usually takes back their reusable bags but this practice was stopped because of the pandemic. Additionally, we had take what they brought, which often came in a lot of packaging. Romaine lettuce came in a plastic bag. The bananas were in a plastic bag, the bell peppers – just about everything , it is discouraging and feels like a huge step backwards!
