What Do You Use to Wash Your Face?

92% of women use facial cleansers on a daily basis, and the overwhelming majority come packaged in plastic.

Yikes!

We'd love to change that, but we need your help!

So tell us, what's your daily cleansing routine? And what would it take for you to try something new?

Let us know - comment below - together we can turn this plastic tide around!

  • I have incredibly sensitive skin. All it will tolerate is organic rose hydrosol (I buy large plastic refills for the small glass spray bottle).

  • I alternate between a locally-made bar of soap (tea tree and charcoal, no plastic) and a Mary Kay cleanser with an exfoliant (plastic). I am not married to either product. I have acne-prone skin, so I would need a plastic-free product that was not going to aggravate my acne, but also wasn’t overly drying. Thank you for thinking about plastic-free options for more products!

  • My daily routine consists of Clinique oil control face wash (thankfully, it has lasted 8 months so far and I’ll likely get a year out of the bottle which is great!), a papaya enzyme exfoliant, and korres yogurt face cream. I also use a face oil by andalou. Currently I’m in the process of using up my products to switch to a zero waste formula or a handmade one when I get to it. Oh and I use micellar water!
It would take a good oil control wash, a light moisturizer, a multi-purpose beauty oil, an exfoliant or peel, and something like micellar water which hydrates and removes deep impurities. I KNOW this is all possible, so I’m patiently awaiting a zero waste solution

  • Regular morning routine: a Pacifica face wash, Thayer’s witch hazel toner, Burt’s Bees moisturizer, and rose water
Regular evening routine: micellar water, Thayer’s witch hazel toner, under eye cream, Pacifica serum, Burt’s Bee’s moisturizer
couple times a week I use an exfoliating scrub or a clay mask

My only real requirements for products are that they are not pumped full of chemicals and that my moisturizer has sun screen in it.
Getting everything from one place would be great. Using fewer products would be great. Last plastic would absolutely be great. A program where you could refill glass containers somehow would be awesome too.

  • I use a facial soap from Lush that comes in a paper bag. I slice off pieces from the bar as I need it so it doesn’t melt away too quickly. I’d love to see alternatives with minimal and non-plastic packaging.
