  • So frustrated at not being able to use my reusable mesh produce bags from etee! I can bring my shopping bags, as my supermarkets allows that if you bag your own groceries, which I’m happy to do. But I find myself having to use disposable plastic for lettuce and whatnot. At least I can use them one more time for the cat box, but still…

  • I would say the bulk food section being crowded and making me feel uneasy when bringing my own containers and also produce that isn’t wrapped. It sucks! I try so hard to get as much as I can without plastic or saran wrap but there is also so much conflicting information about covid19’s transmission with food.

  • Shopping. I can’t bring my own containers to shop in bulk. I needed to shop at a lot of stores to find the ones with both safe practices and paper bags. Eventually I learned that I can put the groceries into a cart and load them into boxes in my car; this takes time and so does cleaning everything before it comes into the house. This makes me want to buy that humous in the plastic tub instead of making my own…I sure wish a plastic free farmer’s market would open!

  • More produce seems to be encased in plastic, especially organic produce :(

  • We used to avoid use of plastic bags and reuse them by bringing them to.l local daycares (they would put soiled clothes in them to send back to families), dog parks, etc. Now with online delivery we get waaay more plastic bags. And much fewer places to have them reused! Luckily a local foodbank reached out recently. But they only use grocery bads, not bread bags, produce bags… I just HATE putting plastic in the bin!
