  • Grocery shopping. I normally bring my own bags, including produce bags, and most stores are not allowing that right now. For pickup orders it seems they put one thing in each plastic bag so I end up with a lot!

  • Plastic bags- when I go to large stores I can just have them put everything back in the cart and bag it outside of the store. But with smaller stores you can’t bring bags in and can’t touch the bagging area so I’m forced into taking the plastic bags.

  • In San Francisco and other places, they told us that we can’t use our reusable bags and containers. Some stores still use plastic bags so it’s harder to not use it. In addition, I have been ordering more online since retail stores are closed and these online stores use plastic balloons for packing the products.

  • During the shelter at home, I’ve increased online ordering and other delivery services. There is so much plastic packaging although I have started to take notes of the businesses that don’t use plastic.

  • Grocery store pickup. One store only uses plastic bags. But on the bright side I use them for my garbage so not completely single use.
