  • Definitely, as everyone else has mentioned, food takeout containers. It’s a hard choice between supporting local restaurants or being environmentally friendly — ultimately I made the personal choice to cook at home because businesses can’t survive anyway if there’s no planet to operate on!

Another challenge is how big retailers like Best Buy, Lowes, H&M etc have all used Covid-19 as a reason to stop their recycling programs. I’ve been saving items and hoping they restart the programs soon.

  • Can’t bring in reusable anything… bags, coffee cups, etc. So I’ve started just packing my own groceries when I get to my car and making a lot more coffee at home.

  • Not being able to use my Re-usable bags for groceries…so, I had an ‘aha’ moment- and decline bags from the stores, leave items in my cart and use my bags sitting in my trunk.

  • Definitely eating out. Everything is take out, and no one wants you bringing in reusable items. My best solution is eating a restaurant that have good regular dishes and eating in outdoor seating.

  • Probably takeout containers – coffee shops aren’t currently letting us use our own reusable mugs.
