  • First we have to get our special medication delivered to us instead of going to the clinic causing lots of ice packs in plastic for an injection. Lots of bubble wrap too.
Some grocery stores no longer allow reusable bags.
It bothers me that people are wearing gloves at the grocery stores because that doesn’t prevent spread! Unnecessary waste.

  • Afraid my answer is the same as others, no more bulk refilling for food, forced to order flour online (shipping waste), depressing seeing all the masks and gloves being littered.

  • I’ve been going in to the office this entire time (essential non-medical field) and the lack of any downtime has caused me to pick up lunch or snacks that are individually packaged. I hate it but I don’t have enough time to plan like I used to and it’s stressful.

  • I’m a registered nurse and I work with really sick children. My biggest challenge staying plastic free during covid has been grocery shopping. I have been avoiding in store shopping because of the type of work I do and the first time I used a click and collect service, there was so many plastic bags with only one small item in it, and plastic produce bags that were just unnecessary. It’s been really challenging to shop plastic free.

  • Having to use the disposable plastic gloves and face masks for work. It’s killing me knowing how much waste my workplace alone is producing and we’re a small restaurant. :(
